The Divided States: Stories from the Second American Civil War. TDS is an ongoing IP building project founded by me through the team at Kaiser Cat Cinema. The animated series, developed in our own 'neo-noir' style, is my homage to the classic traveling companions anime as popularized by the legendary producers and directors group Shinichirō Watanabe. A love letter to Cowboy bebop and Samurai Champloo, I wanted to give TDS a distinct Western twist by using an old projector style of animation and placing it within the fictional Second American Civil War of the Kaiserreich world.

TDS uses a combination of drawing, archival photography, 3D renders and animation to create a fully animated series for Youtube. The show is crowdfunded through our Patreons and the sale of art prints.
